The website links below contain valuable information on the 2012 Hurricane Season and disaster preparedness information. Be Prepared links to the Florida Division of Emergency Management, which contains the application “Get a Plan”. This tool facilitates the creation of a Family Disaster Plan.

Current Weather is a direct link to the National Hurricane Center, which provides a National look at weather conditions and tropical cyclone activity. Regional Resources provides Northeast Florida specific links to each of our seven county Emergency Management offices as well as a link to the St. Johns Water Management District (SJRWMD). SJRWMD has added information to its website this year to assist the public and local governments with access to resources during severe storm events.

The Evacuation Study is a link to the Northeast Florida Regional Evacuation Study, completed in 2010. This document provides data on storm surge, evacuation zones and evacuation routes that each County uses in its pre-storm evacuation planning.
