Meet Our President

NEFRC President Robert (Bob) Sgroi is a resident of the City of Palm Coast in Flagler County. He currently serves as the Director of Procurement for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Sgroi’s public service background includes, but is not limited to: Vice-Chair of the Flagler County Planning Board from 1998-Present; the Flagler County Housing Task Force from 1997-2005; Chair of the Planning Development and Zoning Committee, the Street Lighting Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Ordinance Committee from 1996-1999.

In 2000, Mr. Sgroi was appointed by then Governor Bush to serve on the Northeast Florida Regional Council where he has served as Vice-Chair of the Planning and Development Sub-Committee, Chaired the Personnel and Budget Committee, served on the Economic Development and Tourism Committee and the Beach Access Sub-Committee, Chair of the Planning and Growth Management Committee and now serves as President of the Council. Mr. Sgroi is married to Barbara Ann, has three children and six lovely grandchildren.
