Critical Infrastructure Threat Assessment and Mitigation

Salary: Salary Range $42,000-$52,000
Description: Responsibilities include management
of the Critical infrastructure Threat Assessment and Mitigation
Project. This position will involve work in the areas of
homeland security/boundary zone protection planning/ terrorism
response planning and related areas, including participation
in exercise and training activities. A strong background
in law enforcement/emergency services or a related field/infrastructure
protection as well as Information Technology infrastructure
protection is desirable. The position will manage Independent
Contractors involved in field surveys of critical infrastructure
elements. The survey results must be reduced into a database;
coordination with vendor(s) and knowledge of database applications
is required. The successful candidate is highly organized,
can work independently and has good research skills. Excellent
interpersonal skills are required, as this position requires
frequent communications with critical clients.
Requirements: Bachelor’s plus 2 years
experience in Planning or Master’s in Planning, Public
Administration or related field and five years experience,
or the equivalent. Heavy technical report writing and public
presentation responsibilities. Strong knowledge in IT infrastructure/database
issues helpful. Good project management skills, including
working under tight deadlines, are required. Technical writing
skills are highly desirable.

Starting Salary Range $56,000 - $70,000
Description: Functional Work Areas: Personnel and Programmatic
Administration (including Budget and Contract Administration)
of professional and support staff working in Hurricane Evacuation,
Homeland Security, Hazard Mitigation, Hazardous Materials
and related areas.
Major
Function: Works under the general guidance and
direction of the Emergency Preparedness Programs Director
performing and managing highly responsible administrative
and professional work in directing projects and programs
in EPP; directs the activities of assigned support units;
and performs related duties as required. Requires field
work to conduct exercises and their evaluation, as well
as possible emergency deployments. Ability to travel as
needed.
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge
of organizational structure and management principles. Emergency
Preparedness Programs, and Federal, State and local structure,
function and grant programs. Ability to plan, organize,
direct and delegate the development of projects and maintenance
of programs. Ability to present programs, ideas and opinions
in a clear and concise manner. Ability to resolve differences
among competing points of view and develop commitment to
mutually acceptable goals. Effective personnel management
and proactive problem solving skills.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s
degree with 7 years experience or Bachelor’s Degree
with 9 years experience in the fields of Public Administration,
Business Administration, Urban Planning required. Four years
of EPP or related field experience in a responsible management
capacity, strongly preferred. Heavy technical report writing
and public presentation skills. Strong knowledge in strategic
planning helpful.
