Emergency Preparedness

Disaster planning requires a regional approach to ensure the protection of the lives and property of Northeast Florida citizens. Council programs such as the Northeast Florida Hurricane Evacuation Study and Local Emergency Planning Committee address natural disasters and hazardous materials incidents. Local mitigation studies are also part of the Council’s emergency preparedness efforts.
