Public Input: The Update to the Northeast Florida Strategic Regional Policy Plan
The Northeast Florida Regional Council is currently reviewing our regional plan. We need your input!
The current plan takes into account what was learned at Reality Check First Coast, County Checks, and Generation Check visioning exercises. It includes what we learned from growth pattern polling and many public meetings, and from First Coast Vision, a vision for growth and development in Northeast Florida for the next 50 years that was created by the Regional Community Institute of Northeast Florida, Inc. First Coast Vision serves as a guiding document for the plan. We must update the metrics associated with each element of the plan, and align those metrics with partners in the region that are working on these issue areas. We also hope to add a “Cultivation” element, to set out policies that recognize the importance of agriculture, fishing and generally growing things, and what these mean to Northeast Florida.
The current plan is below. Does it cover what you think it should? Do the policies reflect what is appropriate for our region? Please know that the data points and graphics will largely need to be updated, but please also feel free to share your thoughts on those as well. There is a comment box below each element that will allow you to send us your thoughts. If you prefer, click here for a printable comment sheet and mail to:
